Open Call for Artists, Guides and Lecturers Panel.

The Hugh Lane Gallery’s connectivity with our communities is enhanced through our learning programmes. Children and adults are offered opportunities for understanding and contributing to the artistic life that surrounds them by engaging in imaginative ways through our programmes with artworks in the collection, exhibitions and visual art practice, as well as exploring their own creative potential in our dedicated education studio space. The Hugh Lane Gallery is committed to providing dynamic, innovative and engaging programmes of education that include a multiplicity of programmes for people of all ages and interests. These include study days, drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, film-making, mixed media classes and portfolio preparation classes, film screenings, Coffee Conversations, Culture Clubs and artist-led workshops for children, youth and families. The Gallery also programmes guided tours of the collection and exhibitions, Wonder Club Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) discussions, public lectures and art history series, as well as schools and outreach community programmes.

The lifetime of the artists, guides and lecturers panel is 2019-2023 with periodical reviews. The Hugh Lane Gallery reserves the right to contract individuals outside of the panel for special projects. The 17th May, 2019 deadline is for administrative purposes only and applicants can apply for placement on the panel at any stage during the lifetime of the panel. The Hugh Lane Gallery reserves the right not to engage an individual from the panel. The Hugh Lane Gallery reserves the right to end the panel at any time.
