Seminars @ The Hugh Lane
Art in the Contemporary World
The Hugh Lane is collaborating with NCAD’s Art in the Contemporary World MA programme to present a series of special seminars on Fridays 2nd , 9th and 16th December 2011 at 11.30am-1pm exploring themes arising from the exhibitions Civil Rights Etc., DISTURBANCE and Tim Robinson: The Decision and looking at them in the winder context of art, theory and conflict. These seminars are free and open to the public although numbers may be limited.
Friday 2nd December 2011 will be the first of three NCAD MA Art in the Contemporary World seminars devoted to considering the relationship between art, theory and politics. These classes are a continuation of NCAD's 'key theoretical paradigms' classes, but will take place in the Hugh Lane at 11.30am and they will be opened up to some other researchers with an interest in this area.
These sessions will begin from issues raised in the following readings.
