Art Appreciation Course: Impressionism

Tuesdays and Thursdays,  9, 11, 16 and 18 August 2022, 2-4 pm week

This four part lecture series with Jessica Fahy will introduce one of the most important art movement in Western Art History, Impressionism. Considered to be the first great rebellions in art, we will look at the origins, development and influence of this style of art with a particular focus on works in the Hugh Lane Gallery's collection and on Irish artists. Artists  discussed include Monet, Renoir, Degas, Morisot and others.

This four part in-person art appreciation course with Jessica Fahy takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-4pm
