About Collaborations

Education is central to young people's appreciation of the arts and the Hugh Lane Gallery actively encourages both participation and appreciation in the visual arts through a schedule of innovative projects and programmes. These projects are carried out both in the gallery within the context of the permanent collection and exhibitions and in the wider community in the context of the urban neighbourhood.

Recent Hugh Lane visual art community projects include collaborations with Dublin Port Perspectives, Dublin Culture Company's Neighbourhood projects, Create Collaborative Arts Partnership (CAPP) programme, Dublin City Council North East Inner City project office, Creative Ireland, Foundations Project, Sphere 17 and others. Through our city-wide project Zoom@HughLaneGallery we aim to incrementally work with every primary school in the Dublin City Council area.  For further details see: http://www.hughlane.ie/outreach-projects/past and  http://www.hughlane.ie/outreach-projects/current
