While Hugh Lane Gallery is closed to the public for refurbishment, we continue to lend artworks to galleries and museums in Ireland and internationally so that a range of audiences can continue to engage with our collection.

The National Gallery of Ireland is delighted to present a selection of outstanding works from the Hugh Lane Gallery collection, during our refurbishment. These paintings are an excellent representation of 19th- & 20th- century Irish and international art. Highlights of the collection include Impressionist paintings and a fine group of paintings by Francis Bacon. The works are on view in Rooms 47 and 48  of the NGI on Merrion Square, Dublin 1, and admission is free. Full details on opening hours and other visitor information can be found on the National Gallery of Ireland website.
