This workshop is suitable for complete beginners. We’ll start with the basics like how to thread a needle, how to use an embroidery hoop, etc. Then we’ll move on to some stitching and beading.
All the materials and equipment you need will be provided on the day. Your kit will include fabric, threads, needles, beads and an embroidery hoop. There will also be scissors and pencils available for you to use. Your materials are included in the price of the class.
Embroidery is a slow process, so the piece may not be completed within the class. But we will make sure that you are confident enough in everything you’ve learned, to finish the work at home.
All materials will be provided to you – printed fabric, threads, needles, and embroidery hoop – and are yours to take home. Scissors will also be provided to use within the workshop. Plus enjoy a welcome drink on arrival (alcohol or non-alcohol options available)

About Your Teacher
Alice is a passionate embroiderer inspired by her home, Ireland. Alice began stitching in school at the age of 15, but it wasn’t until she heard about the Degree Course at the Royal School of Needlework that she thought she might make a career out of it.
After graduating from the RSN in 2017, Alice moved back home to Dublin, Ireland and began work on a series of pieces inspired by Irish Folklore, Language, Landscape and History.
