Join artist Ashleigh Downey on a mindful meander, where together we will explore elements of the Hugh Lane’s collection through the art of slow looking. This interactive session incorporates elements of slow looking, soundscaping, reflecting, and mindfulness. An invitation to slow down, offering a unique opportunity to engage with art in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Chloe will then guide a group sound meditation, for deep listening and contemplation in the beautiful surrounds of the Hugh Lane Gallery Sculpture Hall

About Ashleigh Downey
Ashleigh Downey is an ecological artist with a socially engaged practice. She takes an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to her practice. Formally trained as a Textile Designer at Central St. Martins, London (1995-98); Ashleigh works across disciplines as artist, researcher, events curator and facilitator.
About Chloe McHugh Chloe McHugh (Sonas Sounds) is a mixed media artist, sound therapy practitioner and mindfulness teacher. For more than 10 years Chloe has been exploring the art of sound and its use across cultures around the world. She creates meditative experiences with sound and audio visual installations, and is inspired by the power of sound to transcend language and culture, time and place, to elicit profound experiences.
