A zine-making workshop programme for families with an African background; with zine-maker, writer and storyteller Victory Nwabu-Ekeoma and artist Rema Hamid on Friday afternoons at Hugh Lane Gallery.

Would you and your children like to do a fun, free, creative workshop on Fridays from 3-4.30pm at Hugh Lane Gallery on Parnell Square in Dublin 1?

For 6 weeks, we are inviting families to come and work with zine-maker, writer and storyteller Victory Nwabu-Ekeoma and artist Rema Hamid in our creative family zine-making series ‘Make and Be’ for parents and children aged 7 +.

A zine is a small-circulation, self-published book that you can create with material as simple as an A4 piece of paper. Through playful exploration with drawing, writing, stencils, and collage, we will work creatively together to create a series of zines that tells your own story.

Each workshop will be fun and creative. We will work creatively together and every adult and child will have the opportunity to work with various types of materials, explore different ideas about art and connect with each other.

This programme will take place at the Hugh Lane Gallery (Education Space), Parnell Square North, Dublin 1

To join us for this exciting project, please enquire with  Cleo Fagan on [email protected]
