Tuesday 22 July

The Seen and Unseen: Exploring Identity & Duality Through Portraiture and Shadow

Delve into artistic expression through the exploration of portraiture and shadow with artist Anca Danila. Using acrylic paint, participants will experiment with texture and contrast to develop  personal ideas and concepts. Reimagine representation while critically engaging with identity, memory, and cultural narratives.

Wednesday 23 July

Echoes Through Layers: A Dialogue Between Past, Present and Future.

This workshop explores themes of memory, identity, ecology, and cultural interconnectedness through the dynamic process of layered collage with artist Anca Danila. Experiment with transparency and layering, and investigate what is revealed and what is omitted to create meaning in an artwork.

Thursday 24 July

An Introduction to Screen-printing

In this screen-printing workshop with artist An Gee Chan participants will be introduced to screen printing as an artistic approach to image-making. They will create block-out stencils which they will use to design their own tote-bags.

Friday 25 July

The Dream Pool Tapestries

Join artist Michelle Hall on a visit to the exhibition Ailbhe Ní Bhriain: Dream Pool Intervals. Explore semi-abstract pattern making through experimental drawing and mixed media on fabric, creating artwork inspired by the work of Ailbhe Ní Bhriain and the history of textile art and activism.

Fee €40, materials are provided. Advance booking is required via Eventbrite. No experience necessary!
