‘Fragmented Worlds’ Collage Workshop with artist Claire Halpin, inspired by The Dream Pools exhibition of work by artist Ailbhe Ní Bhriain.

Join artist Claire Halpin for an introduction to the work of Ailbhe Ní Bhriain in the exhibition The Dream Pool Intervals beginning with a Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) Tour. Explore themes of fragility in human connection and meaning-making in an increasingly fragmented world through this practical artmaking collage workshop.

Use multimedia to connect with the techniques, materials, and tools used in the fabrication of the tapestries in the exhibition. Create an artwork that weaves together your own narrative.

No experience required and materials are supplied.

There is a break from 12-12.30pm.

Claire Halpin is a visual artist, curator and arts educator born and based in Dublin, Ireland. She has exhibited widely in solo and group exhibitions in Ireland and internationally including The Narrow Gate of the Here and Now, IMMA, 38thEVA International, Limerick City Gallery; 189th RHA Annual, Dublin;Painting Then and Now, Highlanes Gallery, and Artisterium VI, Tbilisi, Georgia and Red Sheep Gallery, Sweden, Elysium Gallery, Wales. Recent solos exhibitions at Cabaret Voltaire Rome, Olivier Cornet Gallery, Dublin and The LAB Gallery, Dublin. Her work is represented in the collections of IMMA, TCD Art Collection, OPW State Art collection, UCC/ Glucksman Collection among others.
