Join us for a talk with artist Noel Hensey. His art practice is concerned with philosophical exploration balanced with some humour. He is a multi-disciplinary conceptual artist working primarily in; photography, sculpture, sound, video and installation. His practice is inspired by the Buddhist practice of meditation, the stand-up comedy of Stewart Lee and Steven Wright and by conceptual art, specifically the work of Marcel Duchamp.
Noel Hensey (b. Dublin) currently lives and works in Co. Kildare, Ireland. He is a graduate of both the PG Dip and MA Fine Art courses from Chelsea College of Arts, London. Arts Service ‘Emerging Visual Artist Solo Exhibition Bursary Award’, 2011 and the Chelsea Arts Club Trust’s ‘Special Projects Award’, 2009.

Curated by Basic Space in partnership with Hugh Lane Gallery, BASIC TALKS is a platform for lectures, workshops, presentations, and performances.
