Contemporary Environmental Art with Emma Ross Sermons
This illustrated talk will explore two iconic projects of the artists Åsa Sonjasdotter and Mel Chin, The Order of Potatoes (2009-ongoing) and Revival Field (1991-1993), respectively. Emma will also discuss her work developing new projects alongside them.
Emma Ross Sermons is the 2024-2025 Fulbright-Hugh Lane Gallery Education Curatorial Scholar. Emma received her bachelor’s degree in art history in 2023, her honours thesis research explored the development of contemporary environmental art. Following her graduation, Emma worked with two of the artist’s central to her thesis, Åsa Sonjasdotter and Mel Chin.
