Join us for an illustrated talk, discussing the Artist as Activist with Tony Suttle. In exploring artists such as Francisco Goya, Eugene Delacroix and Brian O’Doherty among others, this discussion will explore the idea of protest in painting. Artists who create protest art are often seen as activists, actively addressing cultural power structures instead of just representing them. In this lecture, we will explore the impact of this kind of work within society.
