Join us for a guided tour with Dr Anne Cormican. This tour, through our ongoing temporary exhibition on the work of painter Brian Maguire, will look at the theme of social injustice in his work. Brian Maguire is one of Ireland’s leading artists, whose work comes from engagement with the political and social complexities of place and people. This exhibition, La Grande Illusion, focuses on a period of intense productivity for the artist, 2007–2024. It considers his activism in human rights through documentation of war, poverty and social injustice on a global scale.
