Join us for a discussion on the works by photographer and champion of modern art, Alfred Stieglitz with Dr Anne Cormican. This Culture Club will focus on Stieglitz as a photographer, gallerist and promoter, with an emphasis on his determination that photography would be seen as art, his 291 Gallery, his involvement with the Armory Show and his promotion of European artists who exhibited in that show and particularly his promotion of American artists who were responding to and influenced by avant-garde art in Europe
