HLG Offsite
Creative Drawing for Adults: Mindful Mark-Making
Dates: Thursday 9–30 April 2026, 6-8pm
Location: Sean O’Casey Community Centre, 18-26 St Mary’s Rd, East Wall, Dublin, D03 AY74
Led by artist Ashleigh Downey, this four-week course invites adults of all levels to discover drawing as a mindful and playful practice. Across the sessions, participants will explore ways of seeing, making marks, and responding to the world around them – experimenting with line, texture, tone, scale, and the spaces in between. A variety of exercises and approaches encourage curiosity, observation, and imaginative expression.
Participants are guided to follow their intuition, engage with the moment, and develop their own visual language. Whether new to drawing or with previous experience, this course offers a supportive space to reflect, create, and enjoy the process of mindful mark-making.
Fee: €90, materials are provided. Advance booking via Eventbrite.
This art course is part of our HLG Offsite education programmes taking place in locations citywide.
