Colour Rhythm – workshop for adults with artist Ashleigh Downey

Explore colour inspired by the work of Richard Gorman in this art session for adults with artist Ashleigh Downey. Investigating shape, repetition and rhythm, we will discover how colour can generate movement and creates an underlying beat within a piece of art. We will also explore the psychology of colour, its ability to stir an emotional response, and the physiological effects colour can have on us the viewer.

This workshop is part of the education programme in tandem with the solo show of work by artist Richard Gorman from 8 March – 20 August 2023 at Hugh Lane Gallery.
